“Windy Saddle Cafe is the kind of place that makes you want to quit your job, buy a flannel, and move to Golden forever. The cozy, rustic vibe feels like a mountain cabin had a very tasteful Pinterest board. Their matcha latte is elite-smooth, earthy, and powerful enough to make me feel both calm and superior. The little shop trinkets are dangerously cute; I came in for caffeine and left emotionally attached to at least three items I did not need but absolutely deserved. Perfect spot to warm up, people-watch, and romanticize your life for an hour.

Windy Saddle Café has been fueling Golden since 2007. We pride ourselves in using only the finest (many locally sourced) ingredients, impeccable customer care, and premium, sustainable, fair, small-batch roasted coffee. Our café is cozy, welcoming, and busy.

The Bakeshop
Our Windy Saddle Bake Shop proudly creates and serves up fresh pastries daily. Our repertoire includes pies, quiche, cakes, cinnamon rolls, puff pastry, bars, cookies, scones, and muffins – to name a few! We offer vegan and gluten-free options daily (but are not a dedicated GF/V kitchen). Our GF flours are made in-house. You will not find a better Gluten Free (or gluten-full!) pastry on this side of the divide.
